While still built using the unique Rapidex pole system, the Freelander is a tent that has ample room to stand up and walk around in. A detachable inner adds to the convenience and porch windows complete what is a very popular tent.
The unique Rapidex quick erect system has been tested across the globe over many years, giving you piece of mind that you are investing in a tent that you can be proud of and will serve you well for years to come. Due to the compact packed size of the Freelander, it remains a it remains a firm favourite amongst motorcyclists as well.

I have been doing field research in northern Kenya under very harsh conditions and living in this tent for the last 11 months. The porch and outer portion of the tent provide ample headroom and have been used as a field office and also shelter for cooking when the weather isn't cooperating. The sleeping birth is a fully enclosed "inner sanctum" that could easily fit 3 people, however I have a full size ex-army camp bed set up in there instead which fits perfectly. Having lived in this tent for the last 11 months (and counting), I would highly recommend it to anyone!

As a keen walker/rambler my friend and i often go away on weekdays to walk new routes, I search the nearest camp site to use as a base. And my trusty freelander gives the space and room we require. Wonderful tent in all weather i give it 5* rating.

Tried numerous dome and tunnel tents, searched the web, visited local stores, camping exhibitions, what I was looking for was a quick to erect spacious tent, Couldn't believe my eyes when I came accross Khyam Ridgi Dome, We will be travelling through France and Spain over an eight week trek. So it was neccesary to find a tent which was quick to erect as it will be up and down very often. Will post a message after the trip. What a brilliant video, I am going to be putting it up tonight in my dreams, (after watching six times).

I would like to congratulate your company for producing an excellent product, i purchased a Khyam two man dome tent (under the name Khyam by Camptown) in 1992 and the quick erect system still works as it did when new despite reservations from numerous sources at the time, the tent is still waterproof and is as new. I am looking for a larger tent (Freelander) and if it is half as good as my current tent i feel it will be money well spent.

Like Jim Humphrey I also purchased one of your `one-touch` tents in (approx) 1995. Many people had their doubts, but I now cannot see the sense in any other kind of tent! It goes up in minutes, much to on-lookers` amazement. I now want one I can stand in to get dressed, etc.,(getting old!) and it has to be compact enough to be loaded onto my motorbike...Khyam is therefore the only way to go..I`m hoping for as many years from the Freelander..watch this space!

Started off with a Khyam Igloo about 9 years ago , before upgrading to a Freelander 4 years ago.
Very quick & easy to erect , with plenty of room inside ; especially welcome is the headroom in the "living area".
Given the abysmal weather of the last few summers , however - including spending a week at the 2008 Fairford Airshow wash-out - I've decided to upgrade to a tent with an integral groundsheet { even though my old Freelander remains leak-free }.

I have had my Kyham Highlander for about 15years now.To me it is worth it's weight in gold.Easy to erect, ergonomic and fully weather proof.i would have paid twice the price for it.

Well after my dad buying a Khyam Awning and seeing how incredibly quick it was to erect I had to upgrade my tent to a Khyam. I brought my Freelander last week and have already set it up twice! Also purchased the carpet and windbreak at the same time and I'm very impressed at the quality and value for money! I had a few questions about the tent and other items I am interested in and they were more that happy to help me. Fantastic tent, Fantastic company! I'm sure I will continue to have many more happy camping trips in my new second home!! :) Thanks Khyam
Jon
